My work

Bedlam

Shortlisted for the 2025 Adopt a Playwright Award, the 2025 Peter Schaffer Award, and the 2025 George Devine Award. Bedlam is the heartbreaking chronicle of two true mental health stories, 397 years apart, and the strange schizophrenic thread that tethers them.

After having a workshop and reading at the Mercury Theatre in 2025 (Directed by Denzel Westley-Sanderson), Bedlam is currently entering talks for a production.

The Silent Twins

The Silent Twins is an epic adaptation of the book by Marjorie Wallace.

This is a piece that has been in the works for many years, and has had workshops at the Almeida Theatre, and more recently the National Theatre Studio (2024). Both were directed by Denzel Westley-Sanderson.

Section 2

Produced by Paper Creatures Theatre, Section 2 was first performed at at the Bunker Theatre in 2017, as part of their Breakout Festival. A one-room, real-time play, Section 2 explores the UK's fragile mental health and sectioning system, and the affect it can have on everybody involved.

After being shortlisted for the New Diorama Untapped Award, Section 2 went on to receive a multitude of four and five star reviews. Directed by Georgie Staight.

I later went on to adapt the play into a short film, which was directed by Robyn Rainsford. Amongst other accolades, the film won Best Script at the Monaco International Film Festival 2024.

Saturday

Directed by Denzel Westley-Sanderson, Saturday was first performed at the Karamel Club as part the Mountview Director's showcase in 2017.

A working class comedy with a gut-punching edge, Saturday is a one-room play that can be set anywhere in the UK, about how the Covid-19 pandemic helped create a generation of functioning alcoholics.
